Schools, kindergartens and universities are places frequented daily by many people and their floors require frequent, fast and effective cleaning: for this reason it is crucial to have a floor scrubber dryer at your disposal.
Every day, children and adults walk back and forth in the corridors and classrooms of schools and universities, eat in cafeterias and canteens, and young children play and roll around on the floors of kindergartens. Whether they are made of tiles, parquet or carpeted, dirt of all kinds is deposited on those floors, which hygiene standards dictate must be removed frequently and thoroughly every day.
Equally important, then, is to intervene immediately when it comes to extraordinary cleaning. Just think of a rainy day, when shoes leave traces of dirty water, mud and stones, or when food and drinks are accidentally dropped (very frequent when children are involved): it is necessary to clean and dry quickly, to prevent someone from slipping on wet splashes and hurting themselves or children from crawling on the dirt.
This work has to be carried out in just a few minutes, almost always in the presence of students and teachers, without disturbing lessons or hindering transit, and with the obligation to immediately dry the surfaces just washed to avoid new stains and, above all, dangerous accidents. It is unthinkable to rely on traditional methods such as mops, brooms, buckets and rags to drag along long corridors or up and down from one floor to another: with the floor scrubber dryer the work becomes easy and effortless.
THE FLOOR SCRUBBER DRYER IN SCHOOLS
The operation of a scrubber dryer is based on the cleaning and abrasive action of rotating brushes, through which a detergent solution is injected: the dirt, dissolved in water, is then collected by a squeegee and sucked by a turbine into a special tank, leaving the floor dry.
This process makes the scrubber dryer the best tool for the professional cleaning and sanitizing of floors of all kinds, materials and sizes, capable of washing hard, resilient or textile surfaces, both indoors and outdoors and in any dirt condition. By cleaning and drying quickly and thoroughly, floors are immediately dry and safe, thus avoiding the fencing of certain areas or someone slipping on wet spots while waiting for the floor to dry.
Depending on the way you drive them, we can have two types of floor scrubber dryers:
- Walk-behind (push series) scrubbers, driven by the operator using a handle on the back; this type of machine is suitable for the smallest spaces in a school, kindergarten or university, such as classrooms, bathrooms, offices, locker rooms, technical laboratories or the cafeteria area. Moreover, these machines are easily transportable in elevators, to move from one floor to another without any problems.
Due to their greater compactness, they are more suitable for more frequent use in confined areas, where action in the presence of people occurs more often and a large machine could be cumbersome.
- Ride-on” scrubbers, equipped with a seat for the operator and a steering wheel for driving. They are powerful and suitable for corridors, warehouses, gymnasiums, auditoriums, courtyards and large areas up to 12.000 square meters.
A large surface area obviously requires longer working time, so a ride-on sweeper is more powerful, with higher output and longer working time than a smaller ride-on machine.
ALL THE PLUSES OF THE SCRUBBER DRYER AT SCHOOL
Easy to use even by unskilled personnel, and without any heavy effort, floor scrubber dryers offer enormous advantages over traditional cleaning:
- reduce working time by more than 50%.
- wash and sanitize floors without closing the area to pupils and teachers.
- consume less water and detergent, achieving a higher level of hygiene than conventional washing.
- leave no marks or stains on the ground.
In addition to safety and aesthetics, the use of the scrubber dryer and special detergents makes it possible to thoroughly sanitize and disinfect the surfaces and eliminate bacteria and microbes, ruling out the slightest possibility of contamination: this is an element of the utmost importance, especially in the presence of very young children and in areas dedicated to catering, where more or less large residues of food, drinks and other liquids are used to fall to the ground very often.
Floor scrubber dryers, therefore, are the most suitable tool for cleaning and sanitizing floors, adapting to every space and need, ensuring safety and rapidity of intervention.
The main advantage of the floor scrubber dryer is to obtain, with a single operation, deep cleaning and disinfected floors, drastically reducing the work time that would be spent using brooms, dustpans, rags, trolleys and mops.
THE SWEEPER FOR COURTYARDS AND LARGE AREAS
In addition to washing, the floors of school facilities should also be cleaned of dust and small solid waste on a daily basis. Again, instead of a broom and dustpan, it is much better to rely on a sweeper.
Cleaning large areas, such as yards and parking lots, can take a long time if you use a broom and dustpan, only raising so much dust that inevitably settles back on the ground.
To collect coarse dirt and dust, the sweeper is the most suitable machine. Thanks to the side brushes that convey the dirt towards a central roller brush, the sweeper loads the dirt into a special container, thus eliminating the effort required for manual sweeping, cutting down on work time and the residual dust dispersed by the broom and dustpan.
Sweepers are also divided into:
- “push series”, compact and agile, suitable for small areas and in case of obstacles;
- “ride-on series”, powerful and fast, capable of high performance on very large surfaces.
A wise choice will allow you maximizing working time and exploiting the full potential of the sweeper, forgetting about the time and effort wasted by traditional cleaning.
Together with floor scrubber dryers, vacuum cleaners and steam generators, sweepers make up the Floor Care range, which is essential for the care of floors subject to large flows of people, indispensable for cleaning and to avoid the deterioration of the floors themselves due to incorrect cleaning methods.
