The pressure washer is among the most effective tools for cleaning most spaces and surfaces, both at home and as a professional. The cleaning power of pressurized water is increased by a wide range of accessories: nozzles and heads are among the most important ones.

Choosing the right accessories exponentially increases the effectiveness of a pressure washer, which is why there is a wide range of accessories on the market, each suitable for different uses and applications. The right choice will allow increasing the power and strength of the jet of your pressure washer, yet respecting the most delicate surfaces and materials.
Hoses, spray guns, lances, probes, filters, fittings and specific connections may transform your pressure washer into a tool capable of performing much more complex operations than traditional washing. But every pressure washer can work at its best only if it is equipped with excellent nozzles and heads.

PRESSURE WASHER NOZZLES
The nozzle is the final end of the pressure washer, the one from which the pressurized water physically comes out. It is designed to spray the water with well-defined shapes and directions: they can be made of brass, stainless steel or ceramic and are divided according to the shape of the jet produced.
In order to select the right one, we need to know what we are going to use it for: the more resistant the surface and the more concentrated the dirt, the smaller the opening angle to be used. Vice versa, the more delicate the surface or superficial the dirt, the greater the angle to be used.

The main types of nozzles are:
- concentrated jet or 0° degree nozzles: the water comes out forming a flush jet, whose internal volume is filled with drops; it is suitable in case of very concentrated and resistant dirt;
- blade or fan-shaped nozzles: the water forms a jet similar to a fan, with an opening angle normally between 15° and 40°; it is the most suitable solution for most surfaces.
Nozzle replacement is crucial. The orifice of nozzles, in fact, wears out very quickly causing a lower pressure than usual. The high quality of the nozzles ensures a correct water delivery and a precise correspondence between pressure and flow rate depending on the size of the nozzle itself.
The great care taken by Comet in carefully selecting the nozzles it distributes guarantees greater reliability, precision and durability.
ROTATING Nozzles
One of the most common types of nozzles is the rotating jet nozzle. The rotating nozzle allows increasing the impact strength of the water on the washed surface, thanks to the spiral and rotating movement of the spray itself. In this way the water comes out forming a conical rotating jet, where the drops are distributed only on the external surface, improving the cleaning effect. The professional models reach pressures up to 600 bar.
Comet distributes different types of rotating nozzles ranging from hobbyist to professional models with pressures from 160 to 600 bar.
PRESSURE WASHER HEADS
The heads have a double function: they connect one or more nozzles at the same time to the lance and at the same time protect these from possible shocks or other external stresses, so as to limit their wear.
Depending on your use or needs, you can choose from the following types of heads:
- nozzle holder heads;
- detergent suction heads;
- double and triple heads, to mount several nozzles at the same time;
- heads for sandblasting lances;
- heads for pipe flushing probes.
This last type, the pipe flushing probe, is the typical example that explains how a special application of a nozzle can transform even a simple pressure washer into a professional tool. It is a tube with a special nozzle which, when connected to the spray gun, makes it possible to easily remove incrustations and lumps that obstruct the normal flow of fluids inside the pipes. In addition to the individual accessories, there is also a sludge suction kit with everything you need to independently suck up mud and dirty water in the event of floods, inundations and broken pipes.
