Available **from March 2025** at the Italian top dealers specializing in the sale of professional cleaning machines, this **very compact man-behind scrubber dryer** has three distinguishing features: **easy, intuitive and high-performance**. Let’s find out, then, all its details and pluses. Not before recapitulating how it works and what the benefits of using a scrubber dryer are. ## **HOW A FLOOR SCRUBBER DRYER WORKS** The scrubber dryer is the most effective tool for professionally cleaning and sanitizing floors: a machine designed to **quickly wash and dry all** indoor and outdoor **floors** (with the exception of carpeting, natural wood parquet and suspended floors, abrasive materials and uneven surfaces). It consists of a washing body and **roller discs or brushes** that rotate as they are sprayed with a **water-detergent solution.** This is the part that actually cleans the floor, followed by a **collection and suction** system which, with the help of a **rubber blade**, collects the dirty water without leaving any residue on the floor. Scrubber dryers are powered by an electric motor, corded to an outlet or equipped with a battery pack. A further and more important distinction should be made between [**man-behind**](https://comet-cleaning.com/en/floorcare/floor-scrubber-dryers/cps-55-evo) and **[ride-on](https://comet-cleaning.com/en/floorcare/floor-scrubber-dryers)** scrubber dryers, depending on how they are driven: the former are **pushed from the rear** by special handles, the latterare equipped with a **seat** to carry an operator and a **steering wheel** to be maneuvered. ### READ ALSO: [HOW A PROFESSIONAL SCRUBBER DRYER WORKS](https://blog.comet-spa.com/cleaning-en/how-to-ensure-the-hygiene-of-floors-with-a-scrubber-dryer)   ![cps 55 evo\_spazzola moving](https://blog.comet-spa.com/hs-fs/hubfs/cps%2055%20evo_spazzola%20moving.jpg?width=600&height=418&name=cps%2055%20evo_spazzola%20moving.jpg)   The choice between the two types is related to the size of the floor to be cleaned: *man-behind* ones are more compact, thus suitable for small areas and **confined spaces**; *ride-on* ones, which are larger and more powerful, are more suitable for larger and more spacious **areas**. In both cases, however, the scrubber dryer is **a must-have for the routine and repeated cleaning** of spaces open to the public, being able to **wash in a short time** and leave the **floor immediately dry and sanitized**, in one go and without the slightest effort. In addition to a **level of hygiene unmatched** by mops and rags, **safety** is an important plus that comes with the use of a scrubber dryer, as it can be **used without fencing the area to the public** and, at the same time, eliminating the risk of dangerous slips and accidents. **Saving** **water and detergent** increases the number of advantages of scrubber dryers: an automatic scrubber uses detergent in a concentrated manner, maximizing the yield of the cleaning solution with a comparison to traditional methods estimated at 0.05 versus 0.5 liters for cleaning 10 square meters.
